ScholarFind lowers one of the barriers to graduate school by providing an opportunity for students to put their credentials in front graduate program committees at multiple institutions.  Because of money and time constraints, normally students have to first decide upon a finite set of graduate programs to which to apply.  With this service students can upload the elements of a graduate school application including academic history, transcripts (as PDF copies), GRE scores, letters of recommendation, work/internship history and a personal statement (as a PDF).

After creating an account students are taken through a number of screens where they enter their data.  In one screen they will be asked to provide the names and email addresses of 3 recommenders.  Those persons will automatically be sent an email with a link where they can upload a PDF copy of their letter of recommendation.  Students will not be able to see the letters; only if they have been uploaded or not.

Graduate programs around the country subscribe to this database and can contact students for campus visit invitations, or an admissions and financial offer.

This service does not constitute a formal application to any particular graduate program.  It is only an entry into a database to which several graduate programs have subscribed.  It is up to the graduate programs to contact students if they are interested after reading your profile.

To ultimately gain admissions and financial aid students will still have to complete the institution’s formal application forms.  We recommend that students still do that for any program that they are strongly motivated to attend.
